Unbury is built with privacy at its core. All AI processing happens entirely on your device. Your screenshots never leave your phone.
Our Privacy Commitment
Unbury ("we", "our", or "the app") is designed to organize your screenshots using on-device artificial intelligence. We believe your personal photos should remain personal, which is why we've built our app to work completely offline after the initial download.
Information We Don't Collect
Unlike many apps, Unbury does not collect:
- Your photos or screenshots
- The content of your images
- AI analysis results or categories
- Personal information or identifiers
- Location data
- Browsing or usage history outside the app
On-Device Processing
The AI models that power Unbury run entirely on your iPhone. When you open the app:
- Screenshots are analyzed locally using on-device machine learning
- Categories and insights are generated on your device
- All data stays in your local app storage
- No images are ever transmitted to external servers
Photo Library Access
Unbury requests access to your photo library to identify and organize screenshots. This access is:
- Used solely to read screenshot images for classification
- Processed entirely on your device
- Never used to upload, share, or transmit your photos
You can revoke photo access at any time in your iPhone's Settings app.
Data Storage
The app stores the following data locally on your device:
- Classification data: Categories assigned to your screenshots
- App preferences: Your settings and customizations
- AI models: Downloaded once during setup, stored locally
This data is stored in the app's private container and is not accessible to other apps. When you delete Unbury, all associated data is removed from your device.
In-App Purchases
Unbury offers optional Pro subscriptions. These transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.
Analytics
We do not use any third-party analytics services. We do not track your behavior within the app or collect usage statistics.
Third-Party Services
Unbury does not integrate with any third-party services that would have access to your data. The only external connection the app makes is to download AI models during initial setup, which does not transmit any personal information.
Children's Privacy
Unbury does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app processes photos locally and does not transmit data that could identify users of any age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
